This includes increasing surgical capacity through partnerships, adding beds, and improving how care is delivered across the province. At the same time, efforts are focused on recruiting and retaining health care professionals by improving working conditions and creating more flexible practice models.

Mavy Mangat understands that even in a strong, hardworking community like Cochrane and Springbank, families are feeling squeezed. As a civil litigator and problem solver, Mavy approaches affordability with a practical lens: government must respect taxpayers, control spending, and create the conditions for good-paying Alberta jobs.

He believes that if you’ve worked hard, built a life, and invested in your community, you should be able to afford to stay here — not feel pushed out by rising costs and poor planning.

Cochrane is growing fast — and Mavy believes growth should be a strength, not a source of strain. Right now, too many families are seeing the gaps: crowded schools, limited access to healthcare, and daily frustration with traffic and commuting corridors like Highway 1A and 22.
